MEET YOUR BREEDER
That's ME! 😄
Feeling like you can jive well with your breeder is extremely important to me. So I'd like to share a little about myself on a more personal level!
So let's get a little more real and a little less professional for a minute.

My husband, John, and I have three kids, 2 girls and a boy. :) Luckily, our entire family is full of dog lovers! Our oldest daughter also actively participates in conformation with our girl, Stormfly, and our son loves to join in on the Pee Wee show. So far our youngest, who is only 23 months, is already very fond of her furry friends.

We have a total of 13 dogs - currently, we have 5 Corgis, 3 Siberians, 2 Border Collies, and 2 mutts - we also currently have a border collie mix foster who is for adoption.
We also have 2 cats- one we rescued as a bottle baby, and a 24-year-old turtle! The cats remind me every day why I'm a dog person... lol.

Dogs have taken over and been my whole life since I got my first dog at 16. She was a rescue mutt and the smartest dog I'd ever met.
When I was 19 I began my career as a professional dog groomer, and groomed for 13 years before retiring from it, right before my youngest was born.
When I was in my early-mid 20s, I used to run a small non-profit rescue out of my home. I successfully rehabilitated and rehomed upwards of 100+ dogs in just a few years.

I have an odd, somewhat dark sense of humor, so I apologize in advance if I offend you with any of my bad jokes. 😂
Some of my favorite music is classic rock, but I will listen to anything, and if you ever catch me dancing - I truly apologize for what you will have witnessed. I'm clearly not a dancer lol.
I love to create things - and my favorite craft is crochet. I also like to make nylon dog collars with recycled fabrics, and I love to make my own candles.
I especially enjoy going on hikes through the woods with the dogs. I frequently go with them to places that have a small creek running through - these are our favorite places!

I LOVE true crime - documentaries, TV shows, podcasts, you name it!
From 2019-2021, I actually attended the Police Academy with plans to go into homicide, or as a K9 Unit (clearly, I went another direction, lol) and that's actually where I met John, (and he is my hero every day... especially when he handles cleaning up puppy poop haha)! I am currently going back to school to major in Forensic Psychology as well as Veterinary Medicine (unfortunately I'm not taking any of the really fun classes yet lol).

Don't be surprised if I'm a little awkward.. it's a natural skill I possess.. haha! But I am an open book and I try to keep things as real as possible. But if you need to reach out, please always text me first. As a friend of mine would say I'm "the kind of texter who watches the phone ring." 🤣 In my defense, with 13 dogs and 3 kids in the house (and sometimes a litter of puppies) - sometimes it's just loud and I wouldn't want to subject you to all of that lmao.

If you reach out to purchase a puppy, and over time you find that we don't vibe like you'd hoped- I understand, and that's totally fine.
You have a dog's-life-long relationship with your breeder (maybe even longer), and if you can't relax and keep it real with them, then maybe that's not the breeder for you. And that's okay. So please know, I will not be offended if you choose to go elsewhere because of this. Because like I said, being able to vibe well with your breeder is key!

I look forward to getting to know you, and I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little better - on a level that wasn't (completely) about dogs. 😉
WHAT OUR NAME MEANS
To be honest, naming things doesn't come easy to me, so when choosing a kennel name, I struggled - because I wanted it to mean something.

I wanted to pick a welsh word, because well, WELSH Corgi, right? But that wasn't as easy as it seemed, either. I threw around a few ideas before finally coming to "Annwyl," which means "beloved." I followed this with McCorgis in memory of Murray, who started it all. McCorgi was just a silly surname I gave him, and when I brought Otis and Aroosa into our family, I used McCorgi in their registered names, as well.
They are my Beloved McCorgis! ♥
HOW WE BEGAN
My name is Hannah, and I am the breeder behind Annwyl McCorgis. My family and I share a deep love for this quirky, big-hearted breed, and we couldn't imagine our lives without them.

I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember. And even at a young age, I dreamed of showing dogs. I'd watch every dog show I could find on TV, watching the process and being genuinely impressed by the movement of each breed around the ring. I always envisioned myself being part of the action.

I loved all dogs: big, small, purebred, mixed breeds... However, it wasn't until about 2008, after meeting my friend's family's dogs, that I realized I did have a favorite... The Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

In March of 2010, I brought home my first corgi, A sweet tri baby I named Murray... Furry Murray Man McCorgi! ♥
I had every intention of getting into the show scene with him, but I quickly realized he was far from the physical Pembroke standards. But that didn't matter. I loved him all the same. He was my baby and my pride and joy! He was the greatest dog, with the sweetest soul, and that spunky, silly attitude. He made me fall in love with the breed! Ever since, I couldn't not have these stumpy loves in my life!
